Asbestos in soils

IMAC have undertaken soil sampling and remediation works in various projects throughout Ireland

Notifiable (Requiring 14 Day HSA Notification)

This is high risk work where ACMs have a higher chance of elevated fibre release, are friable or in poor condition. This needs to be undertaken by a licenced asbestos removal contractor and notified to the HSA 14 days before work can begin via their Notification Form.

NL (Non – Licenced Work)

This work doesn’t need a licensed contractor and doesn’t require notification to the HSA. However a RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statement or Plan of Work) still needs to be produced for these works and site operatives still require the correct level of training. These works will be carried out under guidance from Health and Safety Authority’s document “ Guidelines on Working with Materials Containing Asbestos Cement”.

We pride ourselves in the excellent working relationships we have acquired and continue to maintain.
As ARCA members, we promote best practice across our asbestos removal service for all clients, private sector and public sector alike.
